Everyone should be able to experience a dog that walks nicely on a leash and comes when called. Basic obedience training can turn your canine into a reliable, faithful companion dog. Besides all of the novice obedience exercises, good manners, leadership and social skills are emphasized in the Family Dog beginning level. We address common behavior problems like jumping, nipping, digging, barking and pulling on the lead. Your dog will learn all of the basic obedience exercises such as heeling on walks, stays, down, sit, wait, and coming when called.
This intermediate level obedience class is for dogs of any age. This is a class for the dog who knows the basics but who has difficulty responding to commands when there are other animals, other people or any other distractions present. In this class we work on leash walking with distractions, recalls with more distractions and distance, and stays with more duration and increased distractions. The goal of this class is to teach you how to gain focus and attention from your pet so you can rely on them in and out of the house!
This advanced level obedience class is designed to challenge your dog. Basic obedience skills that your dog already knows will be polished and advanced handling skills and obedience skills will be taught in this class. If you and your dog enjoy learning new skills and being able to perform them anywhere and any place, then this is the class for you! We will cover a large range of advanced obedience skills with your dog like lateral movement, fronts and finishes, recalls off lead with greater distances and distractions, rock solid stays, off lead heeling and even retrieves.
